Abstract

With the arrival of information and communication technologies, educational institutions are faced with great changes, generating new possibilities such as distance education, which requires specific management procedures where attention is paid to the characteristics of this new modality and aspects such as generating greater development in the actors of the educational process, teaching-learning strategies for the virtual environment, creation of teaching materials and management of administrative processes that allow monitoring and evaluation to achieve quality education are covered. The purpose of this article is to analyze and apply strategies to improve the planning, monitoring and evaluation of learning units of higher education programs to improve their quality.

Author Biography

Sandra Guadalupe Altamirano Galván, Autonomous University of Nuevo León

PhD in Education, a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts with an emphasis on Graphic Arts, graduated from the UANL. Author of the book Corporate Identity, an introduction, by the Trillas Publishing House. Full-time Research Professor at the FAV UANL. Specialist in various areas of design, such as corporate and editorial identity. Evaluator and Member of the Architecture, Design and Urbanism Evaluation Committee of the CIEES. She was part of the EGEL-DISEG Technical Council, CENEVAL, and has been a judge in various local and national design competitions. She was Coordinator of the Planning and Strategic Projects Department, Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and Coordinator of Internal Liaison. She teaches Editorial Design and Identity Design in the Bachelor's Degree, as well as Project Management and Sustainable Design in the Postgraduate Degree. She belongs to the National System of Researchers at Level 1. She heads the Bachelor's Degree Editorial Department at the FAV UANL. She obtained the 2024 UANL Books Recognition for the creation, development and dissemination of creative areas in the Paradigma Creativo and Croma Magazines. Creator of the Research Channel: Hola! Todo es Diseño, on various digital platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.
